After graduating from UMass Amherst with a BA in Economics in 1992, I pursued a career in financial services so I could assist individuals and families work towards better financial outcomes. As I advanced, I began coaching other financial advisors to help them try to optimize their clients’ experience. In the process, I became fixated on creating better financial advisory firms so I shifted my focus to consulting with independent business owners. That’s how I met Coastal. And since January 2016 I have had my dream job! As Executive Director of Relationship Development I oversee our sales & relationship management effort; collaborate with everyone on the team to execute on strategic initiatives; and lead the firm’s marketing initiatives.
Before Coastal, I spent the majority of my career at large financial brands such as Charles Schwab & Co and Fidelity Investments. The varied roles allowed me to develop skills in advice delivery, offer development, and business management.
As Mom to three busy kids, I spend most of my time outside of the office learning the art of humility and patience. I also like to scour the world for beaches with water temps greater than 80 degrees and to collect Italian and French pottery.
